860234-A1 MERCRUISER HEAT EXCHANGER REPLACEMENT

Replacement for the Mercruiser 860234A1 Heat Exchanger for the 4.3L, 5.0L, 5.7L, and 6.2L.   This includes the heat exchanger, end caps with gaskets.  This part is made with OEM equivalent materials and is guaranteed for fit and function.  This part is a drop in replacement for the Mercruiser heat exchanger 860234A1.   No modifications are necessary for installation.  This heat exchanger is a front mount (mounts over engine circulation pump).

 Replacement anode 9-125.

EXTRA DETAILS TO NOTE:

• Some of the heat exchanger surgen tanks have a flattened top.  This heat exchanger tank will not be flat on the top as some of them are. But it still has adequate surge tank volume and we guarantee it will not impinge on any of the enclosures that the engines are found in.

• There was an engineering change at Mercruiser a while back to add a hose that runs from the surge tank to the Fresh Water return fitting.  This was done to improve the flow from the surge tank back to the return line and works quite well.  This is the current OEM configuration and the same at Mr. Cool.  Also note that this is now the most common approach that mercruiser uses on thier heat exchangers to evacuate the surge tank.
